As long as he is the only one listed on the mortgage and you divorced prior to the house going into foreclosure, Federal Law prohibits a creditor from including you in the bureau notices as you aren&#039;t a party to your ex-husband&#039;s finances anymore.

However, having said that, my suggestion would be to monitor your credit reports in the weeks after foreclosure. Mistakes can happen, and it&#039;s better to fix a mistake like a foreclosure that you weren&#039;t a party to, prior to applying for a loan, rather than going through a denial notice and having to fix it at a later date before reapplying for that loan you wanted.
