What are the laws in FL on foreclosure?

July 13th, 2009 | by admin |

How far behind does one have to be on their loan? Is there a difference between a regular home and mobile home when it comes to foreclosure?

The laws are the same as in most other states. If you do not pay your loan(s) as agreed, the lender can initiate foreclosure proceedings. There are no differences between the types of homes involved. In actuality, foreclosure can be started as soon as you are past due one DAY. However, as a matter of practicality, no lender pursues such an option. Generally, you will have had to make no payment for about three months to trigger a foreclosure.
