Does anyone know about the foreclosure laws in IL?
January 30th, 2009 | by admin |I have a townhome that I can't afford anymore because I lost my job. I have a good job now but I am not making the money I was before. The home is not selling for the price I need it to so I can break even. It seems that my only options are to lower the price and bring a bunch of money to close or forclosure? I have excelent credit now does anyone know of any other options for me?
I'm not sure how your credit can be excellent with an approaching foreclosure.
Illinois is a 13-month state (one of the longest in USA).
It will take at least that long from the last payment you made until the foreclosure sale takes place.
Even then, it probably won't sell and you can buy the home back from the bank.
There are many options.
The questions you're asking here should be addressed to your lender.
Believe me, they don't want to take your home.
