HUD’s Disaster Housing istance Program – Update

If you were displaced by Hurricane Ike or Gustav and have been receiving money directly from FEMA for rent payment, HUD has an IMPORTANT announcement. May 1st was the last rent payment you will receive directly from FEMA.

Through HUD’s Disaster Housing istance Program, you, however, can continue to get rental housing istance. Call the housing authority igned to you or HUD’s DHAP – Ike/Gustav Call Center toll-free at 1-866-785-3239. To get this istance, you MUST take action before May 31st. Again you must take action before May 31st. Call 1-866-785-3239.
